(ĐN)- On February 8, Chairman Huynh Van Toi of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and expressed his thank to Hoang An, Dai Giac and Ong pagodas in Hiep Hoa commune, Bien Hoa city for their contributions to the Front’s Fund for the Poor.
During the last Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the pagodas presented hundreds of gifts to local poor people.
In 2016, Hoang An pagoda raised more than VND1.4 billion to offer wheelchairs for disabled persons, gave gifts and provided free eye surgeries to need people. On February 13, the pagoda will hand over 20 wheelchairs worth VND1.1 million each to disabilities and AO/dioxin victims.
During the visits, Chairman Huynh Van Toi expressed his hope that they will continue making more contributions to the socio-economic development and charity activities, and joining patriotic emulation movements, thus strengthening the national solidarity.
