Last year, the union made efforts to renovate operational methods and improve the qualifications of its officials at all levels, care for women’s practical interests.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary has asked the union to keep improving the efficiency of its organization at the grassroots level, and promote the role of women in leading a new family lifestyle of “Five Nos, Three Cleans” (which refers to No Poverty, No Criminal Offences, No domestic violence, No More Than Two Children and No Malnourished or Dropout Children, in line with Clean House, Clean Kitchen and Clean Gate) as well as in joint efforts to build new-style rural and urban areas.
The union is also suggested to further concentrate on offering preferential loans, providing vocational training and generating jobs for women to help them get out of poverty.
On this occasion, 17 collectives and 5 individuals received certificates of merit of Vietnam Women’s Union for their outstanding achievements.
