With the aim to bring a warm Tet to the poor, Dong Nai donated nearly VND341 billion worth of Tet gifts to aid party members, martyrs’ families, state employees with difficult circumstances, poor and near-poor households across the province.
At foreign direct investment enterprises, the average Tet bonus was VND6.1 million. The highest Tet bonus for workers at FDI companies was some VND737 million and the lowest VND500,000.
Private enterprises also gave their employees bonuses of VND400,000 to VND79 million on the New Year holiday, and average rate of VND4.8 million.
The average Tet bonus at State-owned enterprises was VND8.2 million. The highest bonus was VND68.5 million and the lowest, VND1 million.
On this occasion, 37 enterprises have stocked essential goods worth more than VND1.1 trillion to stabilise prices on the provincial market before and after Tet (Lunar New Year), a year-on-year increase of 33 percent. Besides, local businesses and cooperatives held market-days to bring Vietnamese goods with high quality and reasonable prices to consumers in remote areas during Tet.
The province's functional agencies also cooperated with localities to check food quality and hygiene at local markets, businesses, food production and processing establishments. Accordingly, they handled 305 violations and collected nearly VND2.7 billion in fines.
The province’s tourist areas also welcomed around 160,000 tourists during Tet, 30,000 people higher than the previous Tet.
