(ĐN)-According to the Vietnam Expressway Services Engineering JS Company (VECE), Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) will be put into operation on the HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway in 2017.
The system aims to improve the management and control of traffic along the expressway. Once ITS officially put into operation, VEC will bring out policies, methods to collect fees reasonably, fairly and effectively, including the sales of monthly and quarterly tickets, for vehicle owners and businesses.
Intelligent Transport System is a new approach to the transportation problems such as congestion, traffic accident and air pollution. Unlike the conventional measures of physical improvement, it utilizes information and communication technologies to promote efficient, convenient and safe traffic.
