Dr. Horst Sommer was pleased to inform the vice chairwoman that the German Government will provide its support to the second vocational college in Dong Nai province, the Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation in Trang Bom district, to implement vocational training program under German standards, adding his wish that Dong Nai’s authorities and relevant sectors would lend a helping hand for the success of the project, contributing to increase the quality of the province’s human resources.
He also stressed that German Government has provided support to three vocational schools under the Vietnamese-German ‘Program Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Vietnam’, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ). One of the school is Lilama 2 in Long Thanh district which has been equipped with modern facilities and curriculum are equivalent to vocational schools in Germany.
Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep highly appreciated and thanked the German Government and Dr. Horst Sommer as well for their priority given to select two vocational schools in Dong Nai for supporting vocational training under German standards, adding that the province’s authorities will create favorable condition for GIZ and the school to implement the project. She also highlighted the implementation of GIZ’s vocational training programs in the province will offer a chance for Dong Nai to train more skilled laborers.
