(ĐN)- Dong Nai will make efforts to complete important traffic projects in an attempt to reduce traffic accidents, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee said at a meeting to review the Traffic Safety Year 2016 on December 19.
Vice Chairman urged departments, agencies and localities to continue solutions to maintain traffic safety and to minimize the number of accidents, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).
The provincial Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) reports 2016 saw a total of 423 traffic accidents that killed 329 people and caused 266 injuries.
Numbers of accidents, fatalities, and injuries were fewer than 2012 levels.
