(ĐN) - The 9th Provincial Women’s Congress for the 2016-2021 tenure officially opened on December 29.
Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong and Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Huong of Vietnam Women’s Union attended the event.

During the congress, participants put forward solutions to improve the quality of women’s movements and activities.
Over the past five years, the union focused its campaigns and operations on uniting and mobilising women to tap their internal strength, proactively take part in socio-economic development and national defence, build happy families, and improve women’s spiritual and material lives.
In the next tenure, the union will continue efforts to mobilize women to develop production, practise thrift and reduce poverty.
