(ĐN)- On November 5, the State Professor Title Council held a meeting to announce Decision No.55/QD-HDCDGSNN to confer titles on 703 new professors and associate professors in 2016.
Of these, 65 educators are granted the title of professor, while 638 others received the title of associate professor. This year’s requirements for recognition were set higher to meet current demands and comply with international standards.
In 2016, Tran Dinh Thang, a lecturer at Vinh University and born in 1975, is the youngest professor, while 32-year-old Tran Xuan Bach of Hanoi Medical University is the youngest new associate professor.
Among the new associate professors, four came from Nguyen Hue university in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. The university is now home to 21 associate professors.
