(ĐN)- The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on Thursday hosted its 12th press award ceremony for the Cause of Great National Unity in Ha Noi on the occasion of 86th anniversary of VFF’s Traditional Day.
Addressing at the ceremony, VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the contributions of the press to the cause of great national unity.

He also expressed his wish that in the coming years journalists and media agencies would continue to participate in the award programme to promote the press’s strength in raising public awareness of the necessity of the bloc of great national great and to replicate effective models of the VFF and other sociopolitical organizations in society.
The award program drew the participation of 1,354 press works of 200 news agencies across the country.
At the ceremony, the organizing board awarded prizes to a total of 100 works, including five A, 20 B, 33 C and 42 consolation prizes. Accordingly, Dong Nai Newspaper won a B prize for a series of articles entitled “Tang doi thoai, giam buc xuc” (Increasing dialogues with people helps reduce their urgent matters with local administrative agencies).
