(ĐN)- On November 3, Dong Nai’s delegation led by Chairman Huynh Van Toi of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee delivered aid of VND500 million to flood victims in Nghe An province.
The money was contributed by local state employees, armed forces and people to help the victims surmount difficulties.
According to Vice Chairman Dinh Viet Hong of Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, heavy rains and floods in the province during the last days have resulted in 11 deaths and missing. Some 8,230 houses and over 12,000 ha of crops have been deluged with floodwater, which has also damaged many road stretches, triggering traffic congestion. The year’s floods caused an estimated damage of around VND1,320 billion in Nghe An.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman Dinh Viet Hong also thanked Dong Nai provincial Party and people for their support to local people and pledged the money would be delivered to residents on schedule to help them stabilize their lives.
