(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council yesterday held a press meeting in preparation for the celebration of the 35th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS).
Accordingly, the ceremony will be organized on October 15 and 16 at Dong Nai provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Pagoda in Bien Hoa city’s Hiep Hoa commune. Various activities will take place on this occasion, including exhibition cultural items of Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha, introduction of handicrafts related to Buddhist Sangha, special fruits of Dong Nai; introduction of typical architectures of Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha, preaches, art performances, presenting gifts to poor people, etc.
According to Dong Nai provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council, VBS was officially established on November 7, 1981 in Ha Noi. So far, VBS and its chapters has constantly developed stably in all aspects, contributing to the construction and development of Vietnam’s society on its steps with the people and the world Buddhist Sangha’s community. In Dong Nai province, the chapter of VBS was established one year later.
