Addressing at the ceremony, Colonel Tran Anh Thu, Rector of Vocational College No.8, stressed that over the last 25 years, the college has trained more than 163,000 students, including over 10,000 demobilized soldiers and 5,000 ethnic minority students. Some of the school’s majors have met ASEAN and international standards.
In the new school year, the school admitted 2,428 new students. This is the first year the college has provided training in industrial electricity major under the cooperation program with Australia. The college strives to become the country’s high quality vocational training college.
Director of Dong Nai Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Huynh Van Tinh suggested the college to continue its efforts to fulfill key tasks and strive to become one of 45 vocational training schools with high quality in the country and continue to provide additional international-standardized occupations as well boost international cooperation in vocational training.
