Taiwan’s Header Plan Company has been fined VND205 million ($9,000) for dumping wastewater into a canal in Dong Nai province.

Authorities accused Header Plan of allowing contaminated water to run-off into the Moi Canal. This is the second Taiwanese firm to be fined for polluting the environment in recent times, after the Formosa steel mill in north-central Nghe An province polluted large swathes of coastline in April.
