(ĐN)- Since the beginning of this year, Xuan Loc district’s Red Cross Chapter raised more than VND4 billion for humanitarian and charity activities.
Particularly, the chapter presented 9,418 gifts totaling VND2,735 billion to poor households and AO/dioxin victims, awarded 32 scholarships to disadvantaged students and gave 21 wheelchairs to disabled people.
Besides, the chapter and its agencies coordinated with delegations of doctors to provide free medical check-ups and medicines to some 1,300 needy people, offered free eye surgeries for 82 others.
