Over the past time, the province has implemented a lot of sound policies meeting the desire and aspiration of local ethnic minority community and the Hoa people as well.
Currently, most of the Hoa people earn their living by agriculture, thus the province has taken its interest in providing support to them in agricultural production. As a result, 664 Hoa households have been awarded “Good at trade and production” title with annual income per household at VND50 million. The number of poor Hoa households has been reduced by 510 out of 20, 670 Hoa households living in Dong Nai province.
In addition, the province also promulgated lots of policies for Hoa people in culture, health and education. Particularly, most of the Hoa people’s festivals have been restored, including Ba Pagoda Festival, Ong Pagoda Festival, etc. The province is now home to 15 schools and center teaching Chinese, helping their children to improve Chinese skills, maintain their language, writing and be easy to find jobs in Taiwanese-invested enterprises.
