(ĐN)- A disaster response drill was held on Sept 26 at Long Hung commune in Bien Hoa city to better prepare for natural calamities. It was presided over by Deputy Minister of Police Bui Van Thanh.
Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong and Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of People’s Committee and more than 2,000 policemen and local people attended the event.
According to the scenario, a day long torrential rain caused flood at Dong Nai river basin, flood prevention and rescue forces are requested to remove property and people to safer places from flood affected areas.
The drill aims to update and review the relevant units’s preparation for natural calamities and its emergency response capabilities.
