(ĐN)- A total of some 260 traffic accidents occurred in Dong Nai, claiming 210 lives and leaving 150 injured in the first eight months of the year, according to the provincial Traffic Safety Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of accidents and injuries declined slightly, while the fatalities decreased 4.3 perecent.
The high cases of traffic accidents saw in Thong Nhat and Dinh Quan districts.
The province aims to reduce the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents by between 5-10 percent this year.
In the remaining months of this year, the province will continue solutions to maintain traffic safety and to reduce the number of accidents.
