The central city of Da Nang continues to top the list with 93.31 percent, followed by Hai Phong (92.59 percent). The northern province of Dien Bien came last in the index with 74.99 percent.
The 2015 average PAR INDEX of 19 ministries and ministerial-level agencies was 85.3 percent, the highest figure for the last four years. Accordingly, the State Bank of Vietnam ranked first while the Ministry of Information and Communications came in last.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested ministries and localities continue to develop specific measures to remedy their shortcomings and enhance their ranking in the index in years to come.
The PM also asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to make the PAR INDEX more transparent and practical, and urged ministries and localities to effectively implement administrative reform in order to better meet the demands of the people and society.
