(ĐN)- Since the beginning of the year, Bien Hoa city's Steering Board for Poverty Reduction in cooperation with Dong Nai branch of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies provided preferential loans for more than 530 poor and near-poor families totaling over VND9.2 billion, allowing many of them to escape from poverty.
According to new standards, the city is now home to 1,097 poor households, making up 0.44 percent of total households.
