(ĐN)- In the first half of the year, Xuan Loc district’s Study Promotion Association mobilized more than VND5 billion from organizations and individuals to help poor students.
The money was used to provide more than 2,000 scholarships for disadvantaged students, present rewards totaling VND3.8 billion to over 24,000 students and 1,315 teachers.
In this period, the association also raised some VND3 billion by mobilizing locals to put money in their clay pigs.
The district’s study promotion association is now home to more than 34,000 members.
