US$3.3 million raised from FNGOs

(ĐN) – Over the past two years, Dong Nai received US$3.3 million (VND72 billion) in aid from 50 foreign non-governmental organisations (FNGOs) and donors.

(ĐN) – Over the past two years, Dong Nai received US$3.3 million (VND72 billion) in aid from 50 foreign non-governmental organisations (FNGOs) and donors.

The proceeds have significantly contributed to local socio-economic development through social projects on poverty and hunger reduction, education, healthcare, rural traffic systems, clean water, and environmental protection.

Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee expressed sincere thanks to the FNGOs and called for better communication and cooperation among relevant bodies to enhance the effectiveness of aid in the locality, in addition to promoting international aid for the province.

He also stressed that further efforts should be made to create favourable conditions on administrative procedures for operations of FGOs.

On this occasion, 29 collectives and 12 individuals were honored for their efforts in mobilizing aids from FNGOs in the period 2014-2016.
