Efforts continued to maintain traffic safety

 (ĐN)- There were 194 traffic accidents reported in the province in the first six months of this year, of which 157 people were killed and 104 injured, according to the provincial Committee for Traffic Safety.

(ĐN)- There were 194 traffic accidents reported in the province in the first six months of this year, of which 157 people were killed and 104 injured, according to the provincial Committee for Traffic Safety. Cases of traffic accident, the death and the injured fell compared to the previous period.

The violations included predominantly speeding, driving in the wrong lane, and people driving under the influence of alcohol. 

Traffic accidents in the province were mostly caused by carelessness and poor awareness on the part of drivers.

Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial Peope’s Committee asked further efforts to step up the upgrade of highways to deal with high-risk spots, continue solutions to maintain traffic safety and to reduce the number of accidents.
