(ĐN)- A press conference on the National Press Awards 2015 was held in Ha Noi on June 14.
According to Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Journalist Association, Ho Quang Loi, ninety two outstanding works by journalists throughout the country, winners of the National Press Awards 2015, will be given prizes on the 91st Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism Day (June 21).
Loi said the works covered various topics including economics, society, national defence and national sovereignty over seas and islands. The works vividly reported matters of culture as well as major issues facing the country, contributing to the cause of building and defending the nation. There isn’t a big gap between the quality of press works at central and local levels, or between print media and broadcast news, he said.
Of the winning entries, eight works will be granted the A prize, 25 works the B prize and 40 others given the C prize, along with 19 consolation prizes. Of them, journalists from Dong Nai have won one A, one B and one consolation prizes.
