Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee and representatives from departments, agencies and more than 500 students and local people attended the event.
This year’s theme “Nature’s call and our actions” is the fight against illegal wildlife trade, which erodes the precious biodiversity and threatens the survival of awe-inspiring species, such as elephants, rhinos and tigers, as well as other creatures that are less celebrated.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh called on local people to join hands to protect environment, including preventing illegal wildlife trade, planting trees, recycling, environmental cleaning, collecting litter, and dredging canals and lakes.
