Writer sells books to help the poor

(ĐN)- Female writer Thu Tran, former Dong Nai Newspaper's reporter, on Sunday hold a meeting to introduce her new collection of short stories entitled "Ta dao thu mot lan" (Once trying to be a heretic) published by HCM city's Culture-Arts Publishing House, along with selling book to raise funds for charity.

 

(ĐN)- Female writer Thu Tran, former Dong Nai Newspaper’s reporter, on Sunday hold a meeting to introduce her new collection of short stories entitled “Ta dao thu mot lan” (Once trying to be a heretic) published by HCM city’s Culture-Arts Publishing House, along with selling book to raise funds for charity.

Called by “ Thap lua yeu thuong” (Lighting flame of love) by the writer, the program held at Pho Isle in Bien Hoa city saw the participation of writers, friends in Bien Hoa city, HCM city and Composing Club of Dong Nai Children’s House.

Thu Tran offered 200 books for selling to donate money for 12-year-old girl Tran Khanh Vy residing in Bien Hoa city’s Thong Nhat ward who suffers from blood cancer.

The program received wholehearted support from participants and raised VND13 million and the money was handed over to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dung, mother of Vy.
