Dong Nai Armed Forces celebrates 70th traditional day

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai provincial authorities held a ceremony on May 13 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dong Nai Armed Forces' Traditional Day (May 15th 1946-2016).

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai provincial authorities held a ceremony on May 13 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dong Nai Armed Forces’ Traditional Day (May 15th 1946-2016).

The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant-General Trieu Xuan Hoa, Head of the Central Highlands Steering Committee, Major General Van Cong Danh, Military Zone 7 Deputy Commander, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman Tran Van Tu of the provincial People Council, and representatives from local departments and agencies, Vietnamese heroic mothers, and heroes of the people armed forces.

At the ceremony, the provincial armed forces reminisced about their feats of arms in the national salvation wars and in the national construction and defence cause.

Over the past 70 years, the forces has increasingly developed and fulfilled all assigned missions to build a firm defensive area, contributing to protecting the fatherland under any circumstances.

On behalf of the State President, MZ 7 Deputy Commander Major General Van Cong Danh handed over the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to the provincial Military Command to recognize their remarkable achievements in training and maintaining combat readiness.

Major General Van Cong Danh and Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong highly appreciated the efforts made by the provincial armed forces and stressed that the forces should continue to promote training and actively contributed the building of the people’s defence, deserving of the trust of the local Party committee, authorities, and people.
