Nearly VND310 bln allocated for environment protection projects

(ĐN)- Dong Nai will spend approximately VND310 billion for environment protection projects in 2016, according to the environment protection plan approved by the provincial People's Committee.

 

(ĐN)- Dong Nai will spend approximately VND310 billion for environment protection projects in 2016, according to the environment protection plan approved by the provincial People’s Committee.

Accordingly, the money will be allocated for projects of rain-water drainage, collecting and treating waste water in urban areas, building water reservoirs, clean water supply system for rural areas, increasing public awareness on environment protection, etc.

In addition, the province’s Fund for Environment Protection with total captital at VND100 billion will provide loans with interest rate 50 percent lower than those of credit organizations for investing in facilities for treatment of waste water, exhausted air; buying vehicles to transport waste.

The move aims to increase the quality of environment and reduce pollution until the end of 2016. Accordingly, the province has set targets of daily garbage collection to reach 97 percent, hazardous waste collection at 96 percent, as well as ensuring 99 percent of urban residents to access to clean water while 95 percent of rural residents to access to clean water.
