(ĐN)- Dong Nai will reduce the jail terms of and release 73 prisoners ahead of schedule on the occasion of the 41th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and National Reunification and May Day, the province’s amnesty consideration council announced on April 4.
The beneficiaries will have their jail terms cut down by between three and ten months. They were confirmed to have had good conduct while in prison.
The clemency is designed to encourage prisoners to refresh themselves so that they can return to society sooner than scheduled.
