(ĐN) – The 2016 Earth Hour response programme, which calls upon people to save energy to cope with climate change, was launched at Dong Nai Conference Centre on March 19.
With the theme “Small Action , Big Meaning”, the event, co-organized by Dong Nai province’s Youth Union and Dong Nai Power Company, encourages individuals, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to the planet.
At 8.30pm, lights at the centre were switched off to respond to the Earth Hour.
Earlier, many cultural activities and art performances were also held to mark the event, and local young people cycled through the main roads in Bien Hoa city to call upon local people to respond the Earth Hour.
