(ĐN)- In 2015, 16 cases of fire occurred in Dong Nai, heard a meeting held by Dong Nai Fire Fighting and Prevention Police Department on February 22.
According to Director Van Quyet Thang of the Department, the figure dropped by 3 cases (15.8 percent), by 4 dead people and 666 million loss compared to those in 2014.
In 2016, the Department will continue to enhance the effectiveness and professionalism of the fire fighting and rescue work, focus on boosting the effectiveness of popularization work and mobilising people’s involvement in fire prevention and fighting
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh asked the department to take more measures to raise the efficiency of fire prevention and fighting and rescue work, ensure that rescue equipment was available to proactively carry out rescue activities.
