(ĐN)- Dong Nai Red Cross Association and its branches spent some VND114.5 billion for relief, healthcare and humanitarian activities in 2015, said Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Xuan.
Moreover, the association also cooperated with Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Centre to launch blood donation campaigns and collected 37,600 units of blood, helping save many patients.
Last year, its branches in Dinh Quan district, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city encouraged 24 people to register to donate their bodies to science after death.
In 2016, the association will continue to step up its activities to help disadvantaged people, provide free medical check-ups to needy people and targets to collect 30,000 blood units.
