(ĐN) A campaign on food safety and hygiene preparation for the upcoming Tet holiday is underway in Dong Nai.
Accordingly, various activities are being implemented to increase the responsibilities of food manufacturers and processors as well as awareness of people on food safety and hygiene. Recently, inter-sectoral inspection teams have carried out checks on food producers in Bien Hoa city, Xuan Loc and Cam My districts. Of these, some violated the province's food safety regulations.
The inspections are intended to tighten food safety and hygiene in the locality, educate consumers, producers and traders in a bid to increase awareness of food hygiene and change traditional bad habits.
In the comining time, inspections will be stepped up with strict penalties for those found violating food hygiene and safety regulations in a bid to ensure people enjoy a healthy Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.
