Dong Nai's efforts to care for AO/dioxin victims

(ĐN)- On January 12, Dong Nai AO/dioxin Victims' Association organized a meeting to discuss tasks for 2016.

Accordingly, the association will continue its efforts to care for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, plan to raise some VND6.5 billion to build and upgrade houses, award scholarships, visit and present Tet gifts, provide free healthcare to the victims.

In 2015, Dong Nai had 9,200 AO/dioxin affected people, an increase of 186 people compared to the previous year. So far, the province provided monthly allowances to more than 2,700 victims who were exposed to the chemical substance while fighting in the war and their children and grandchildren who suffered from the substance. Besides, the province has also cared for 2,900 other victims.  

On this occasion, Dong Nai AO/dioxin Victims' Association awarded certificates of merit for 11 collectives and 36 individuals for their contributions over the past years.
