(ĐN)- Near-poor families will receive financial assistance to 100 percent for their health insurance cards between December 1, 2015 and December 31, 2016 as a result of a new policy recently approved by Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee.
Accordingly, the province will spend some VND6.38 billion to buy health insurance cards for the near-poor families in the period.
The policy also stipulates health insurance subsidies for ethnic minority people in 63 poor communes in accordance with Decision No. 30/2007/QĐ-TTg, dated March 5, 2007.
The new policy is expected to expand card holders’ additional benefits and enjoyment in order to increase poor people’s access to medical services and to encourage more people to get health insurance.
