(ĐN)- Dong Nai Police Department on November 16 awarded certificate of merit to the High-Tech Crime Control Squad for their outstanding performance in investigating and detaining criminals for appropriating property through swindle.
Initial investigation showed that 25-year-old Dam Manh Thanh, residing in Le Chan district, Hai Phong city, made use of information technology and tricks to defraud local people and appropriate their money from their bank accounts.
Starting large investigation into the case, the police force on November 12 arrested 31-year-old man Le Cong Dinh, residing in Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city. The police defined that the criminals had used other people’s ID cards that were replaced with Dinh’s picture on the cards to create 4 bank accounts while making use of telecommunication system to appropriate more than VND860 million from many people.
The case is still under further investigation.
