The figures included 413,822 households in rural areas, or 99.25 percent of the total rural households.
The achievement was attributed to upgraded power transmission networks and support facilities, which cost 68 billion VND (roughly 3 million USD) loaned from the provincial People’s Committee.
In the first nine months of 2015, 7.317 billion kWh of commercial electricity were supplied to customers, up 8.4 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the department.
It is to reach 2.633 billion kWh in the last three months of this year, raising the total output for the whole year to 9.95 billion kWh.
The province is expected to save about 282 million kWh of electricity this year, equivalent to 2.8 percent of commercial power output.
