(ĐN)- As many as 5,000 people took part in a charity fundraising day organised by Cargill Vietnam in Suoi Tien tourist area in HCM city last week.
The event raised VND5.4 billion for Cargill Cares foundation’s project for underprivileged students nationwide.
The money will be used to provide assistance to flood-hit victims, present scholarships to poor students, offer rehabilitation equipment to disabled orphans and build schools for students in remote areas.
Cargill Cares plans to build two more schools in Dong Nai and Ha Nam provinces until the end of this year, raising the number of schools the company has built for poor pupils in the country’s far-flung areas to 75.
