(ĐN)- Vinh Cuu district’s Committee of Emulation and Commendation on June 15 honored Mr Mai Van Long and Mr Dao Tu Lan for their bravery in saving people from drowning on Tri An lake.

Earlier, while rowing boat along Tri An lake in the district’s Ma Da commune and Vinh An town, the two brave men founded a group of people in the middle of the lake in a critical condition. Mr Long sped the boat toward the kids and took them to the lakeshore.
They save 6 people and provided first aid to one kid, however due to long time of suffocation in water, the unlucky kid didn’t last out.
They then joined another local people to seek bodies of the two other kids who had been drowned before.
