This is the fifth year the Book and School Equipment J.S Company has cut down textbook prices for students. This year, the provincial People’s Committee provided VND20 billion for the textbook subsidized program.
In addition to markdown of 10 percent on textbook prices, the company has also reduced the price of books, reference textbooks and other studying items.
During last academic year, the company had sold more than 3.4 million textbook, collecting VND27 billion and the discount is equivalent to VND2.7 billion.
To ensure that students can receive price cutting on textbooks, the company has brought textbooks to stores and school libraries, labor unions, industrial zones management boards and factories, companies.
