Around 350 underprivileged and outstanding students from HCM City's 24 districts gathered yesterday for a joyful celebration of International Children's Day organised by Thai business group SCG.
They played folk games and games on traffic safety, drew paintings based on environmental themes, coloured small statues, crafted gift items from recycled materials, sung and danced.
Everyone received a set of gifts consisting of a T-shirt, toys, and study tools, which cost the company a total of VND280 million (US$12,750).
The company had earlier organised similar events in the provinces of Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
