Director Vo Van Sang of Dong Nai Fire Fighting and Prevention Police Department, said that the maneuver aimed not only to raise public awareness about first aid but also to give practical situation for rescue forces to improve their skills in collaboration with different rescue agencies.
The fire drill conducted was of a mock fire that broke out about 3 p.m at a house in Xuan Hoa ward. The fire office sent 4 fire engines and 40 firefighters to the scene. The simulated fire has been controlled within 20 minutes after the incident started.

The residents were given a quick course on fire prevention and safety. Fire-brigade crews also demonstrated fire fighting skills and evacuation techniques.
