(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Trade and Industry in cooperation with Dong Nai Power Company will hold activities to respond to the 2015 Earth Hour.
Accordingly, a switch-off ceremony will be launched between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on March 28 to call upon people to save energy to cope with climate change. Every organization and family in the province is encouraged to switch off lights and unnecessary electrical appliances to contribute to a future sustainable environment.
Dong Nai saved 58,000 kWh of electricity thanks to local citizens turning off unnecessary lights and electrical equipment from 8.30-9.30pm on March 29, during the 2014 Earth Hour campaign. The event also helped to raise awareness about energy conservation and get individuals to make major changes to their lifestyles to battle climate change.
