(ĐN)- A switch-off ceremony was held on March 28 at the provincial Conference Center to respond the Earth Hour 2015. Vice Chairman Nguyen Tranh Tri of the provincial People’s Committee attended the event.

With the theme “Saving Energy – Fighting Climate Change”, the event, co-organized by Dong Nai province’s Youth Union and Dong Nai Power Company, aims to call upon people to save energy to cope with climate change. Accordingly, every organization and family in the province is encouraged to switch off lights and unnecessary electrical appliances to contribute to a future sustainable environment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Cao Cuong of the provincial Youth Union called on families, businesses and individuals to save power, reducing the impacts of climate change.
The campaign has also seen hundred of young people joining a “ride for the environment” programme along Bien Hoa city’s streets.
