(ĐN)- Dong Nai has recently presented charity houses to local poor households in an effort to help them enjoy a happy and warm Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
On February 14, Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association in cooperation with its agency in Dinh Quan district held a ceremony to hand over a compassionate house to the family of Mr Nguyen Phuong Linh in Ngoc Dinh commune whose house was destroyed by fire.

The house is built at a cost of VND55 million, VND40 million of the total was funded by the association, VND6 million from the district’s budget and VND9 million from local sponsors.
At the ceremony, the association and organizations also presented gifts to the family.
Earlier, Mrs Nguyen Thi Chanh, a 84 year-old woman in Bien Hoa city’s Binh Da ward, Mr. Ta Van Thuyet, a 44 year-old man in Bien Hoa city’s Long Binh ward, and Mr Do Hieu Nghia in Nhon Trach district’s Hiep Phuoc commune also received houses as gifts from local authorities, enterprises and sponsors inside and outside the province.

Dong Nai built and upgraded 312 charity houses in 2014, according to Vice Chairwoman Bui Thi Lieu of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
