(ĐN)- On February 2, 59 prisoners at prison in Dong Nai Police got reduced jail terms on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
Of them, 14 prisoners are allowed to end their sentence ahead of schedule and 45 other sentences are shortened by 3-12 months thanks to their redemption progress.
Also on this occasion, clemency has been given to 46 inmates across the province.
The clemency not only reflects the Government’s leniency policy, but also encourages prisoners to reform themselves so that they can return to society sooner.
