(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city People’s Committee on January 21 organized a launch ceremony for the 2015 traffic safety year. The event was attended by Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee and leaders from departments and agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman asked localities to build up a traffic safety plan for 2015 with specific targets on reducing traffic accidents and the number of people killed and injured on the road by 5-10%, strengthen education to improve residents' awareness of traffic safety, ensure a decline of traffic jams in the city by boosting infrastructure development and encouraging the use of public buses.

He also stressed that more efforts should be done to better manage transport business and control loads of vehicles, ensuring public order and traffic safety during the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival this year.
