Founded five years ago, Assistance for the Handicapped Club under the province’s Young Entrepreneurs Association is considered as a “common house” for the local disabled people. The club has so far mobilized more than VND2 billion from local businesses, and provided preferential loans to over 3,000 disabled people. Many of them have stabilized their lives and escape poverty.
In addition, the club offered funds to help 150 households of people with severe disabilities. It also coordinated with Long Thanh-Nhon Trach Regional Vocational College to provide free of charge vocational training for disabled people as well as awarded scholarships to dumb and deaf young talents at Dong Nai University.
