(ĐN)- A ceremony was held on December 26 to award the title “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” to 215 women living in Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts, whose husbands and children sacrificed their lives for national liberation and protection. Of the total, only 32 title bearers are still alive.

Attending the event was Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman Nguyen Phu Cuong of People’s Committee and leaders of departments, agencies and localities.
Addressing at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh showed her deep gratitude to the mothers and stressed that local authorities, over the past time, have adopted practical measures to take care of their heroic mothers.
She also called for more joint efforts and donations from individuals, organisations and enterprises operating in the province to be able to take better care of heroic mothers in the time to come.
