Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri emphasized the need of the project with the purpose of building a young generation strong in body and mind, suggesting the related agencies to work closely with schools and parents to deploy the program.
The “School milk” program will be piloted in 5 districts and 2 enterprise-funded kindergartens in the province in September this year.
Accordingly, the program will be deployed in Xuan Loc, Cam My, Dinh Quan, Tan Phu and Vinh Cuu districts, Pouchen Vietnam Company’s Green World Kindergarten and Feng Tay Group’s Orient kindergarten.

In 2014, the program will supply free milk to over 41,000 children at 147 pre-schools in the province. Each child will drink 180 ml of milk three times a week.
The total cost of the program is VND15 billion, and the milk supplier for this project is Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk).
