(ĐN)- A very special flag saluting ceremony took place at Le Quy Don high school in Bien Hoa city early on Monday.

The school’s teaching staff and more than 800 students together shaped Vietnamese map on the football field, affirming the country’s sea and islands sovereignty of Truong Sa and Hoang Sa.

The national anthem was sung while the Vietnamese flag waved in the wind. They placed their tightly holding hands onto the chests in the sacred and very touched atmosphere.

Also at the ceremony, the school handed over VND50 million, funded by its staff and students, to representative of Tuoi Tre Newspaper in response to the “Together to protect the sovereignty of East Sea” campaign.

This meaningful program contributes to the opposition to China’s illegal installation of a drilling rig in Vietnam’s waters, said Ho Thi Lam, headmaster of the school.
